The Masters Touch (Lev 13:45,46; Matt 8: 1-3, Luke 7:11-13) He walked down the streets of the city, Nobody cared to know his name. Known as a leper to all around, His heart was always filled with shame.
He dwelt by himself, all alone. For he was pronounced unclean He only heard the reproaches of men, Whenever he would be seen. Jesus passed by him one day, And he ran and fell at his feet. ‘Clean me if it’s your will’ he cried, The master cleansed him on that busy street. Chorus No matter what the world may say, He will never cast you away. When people stretch forth their hands to judge, The master will stretch forth his hands and touch. She walked outside the city gate, Weeping bitterly for her son who had died. It was not just his body that was carried, But all the hopes she carried through her life. None could offer her any help, They simply followed her along. As the woman limped slowly ahead, On the way to the burial ground. Jesus came near to that great crowd, And was moved with great compassion. The master touched the bier they carried, And brought to life the widows son. Chorus No matter how deep the pain and strife, He will never leave your side. When all help fails and every hope dies, The master will touch and give you a new life. A touch from the master is all that is needed, Life will never be the same. To bind, to heal, to save, to care, Is the very reason HE came…. - Bhaskar Venugopal |
